The workshop will be held at WU Vienna (Vienna University of Economics and Business). It is located in Vienna's second district at Welthandelsplatz 1. The Campus WU comprises 7 building complexes. The workshop will be held in the futuristic Library & Learning Center (LC) in room LC 2.400, in the campus center.

The following hotels are very close to the workshop venue (5-10 minutes walking distance). Prices vary depending on day, room type and breakfast option. The cheapest option is usually around 65-70 Euros. The first three offer special rates when you say that you are a guest at WU.

From the airport
The journey time from the Vienna International Airport to Vienna is approx. 15-30 min. depending
on the means of transport (train, bus, or taxi).
Using the City Airport Train (CAT) to the station "Wien Mitte/Landstrasse" takes 16 minutes (costs: 11 Euros),
if you use the regional railroad connection S7 towards direction "Floridsdorf" takes 30 minutes (costs: 4.20 Euros)
to the station "Wien Mitte/Landstrasse" or "Praterstern"
(detailed information and timetables).
From "Wien Mitte/ Landstrasse" you have access to the underground lines U3 ("orange") and U4 ("green") and from
"Praterstern" you have access to underground line U1 ("red") and U2 ("violet/purple")

To reach the workshop venue (and the hotels above) you eventually need to get to U2 "Messe-Prater"
or "Krieau" from the underground at "Wien Mitte/Landstrasse" or "Praterstern". We recommend taking
S7 to "Praterstern" and then taking U2 for one stop to "Messe-Prater". See also below.
By train
All long-distance trains arrive at the Vienna Main Station ("Wien Hauptbahnhof"). From there you can
take the underground line U1 ("red") to access the public transport system of Vienna.
To get to the workshop venue and hotels above, you can take U1 in direction "Leopoldau" to
"Praterstern" and then U2 to "Messe-Prater". See also below.
By public transport
Vienna has a dense and extensive
public transport network.
It consists of an underground (called "U-Bahn"), tramways ("Bim" in Viennese), and buses operated by the Vienna Transport Authority.
Additionally, there is a metro railway network (called "S-Bahn" or "Schnellbahn").
Note that there are no ticket machines in the trains of the underground and Schnellbahn
(except in busses and trams but tickets have a slightly higher price).
All regular tickets can only be purchased in advance. These tickets are available at the
ticket machines, which are positioned at the underground and Schnellbahn stations,
or also online.
Campus WU is located between the two U2 underground stations
"Messe-Prater" (B) and "Krieau" (A).
The Library & Learning Center (LC), the workshop location, is roughly the same short walking distance from each of the two underground stations.
By car
Parking is solely possible in the underground parking garage of the campus.
The underground parking garage is located under the main boulevard running
through the campus. The entrance to the garage is on "Trabrennstrasse 5"
(route planner).
